Polk County

Sand
Hill Settlement Historical Society
The Sand Hill
Settlement Historical Society was established in 2000, reorganized from
the long-inactive Old Settlers Memorial Association. The Society meets
monthly at the library in Climax,
Minnesota,
a small community about 60 miles north of
Fargo, North
Dakota. We are eager to establish a working pioneer farmstead and
to embrace knowledge and appreciation of our local history through
preservation and education. There is one cabin on the cite, and one
barn in the process of renovation. There is a windmill ready to be
reassembled on the site and work is in progress to obtain a house from
near Reynolds
ND.
